INTRO: OUR COMPANY OPENING, COPYRIGHT READOUT, THEN THE CASE STUDY OPENING PLAYS MUSIC/SPACE.
INT. EARTH UNIVERSITY FACILITY LIBRARY BASEMENT DAY
Click of recording log. INEKE VANDENBOS(23) sighs.
INEKE
Greetings listener, I'm Ineke van denBos, recording the start of my case study assignment for my intergalactic sociology class. As per Professor. K’s instructions, I have found a nonhuman case file series, that I will listen through, then write about. And oh boy am I looking forward to this project. I mean…I already spend so much time in the audio log archives, that I’m pretty good at picking out interesting cases but I feel like I outdid myself this time. I searched everywhere and sitting tucked underneath a desk, I found this.
Cardboard box, full of USBs, shifts, as Ineke lifts it up to place on a desk.
INEKE (cont'd)
Ineke picks up a piece of paper that’s attached to the box.
A box of 16 audio logs, dated 5 years ago. 5 years ago! I didn’t think there’d be any alien logs on campus that take place before we found out about them. But here it is, a case file about aliens, 3 years before they introduce themselves to us, humans. So that was cool but the interesting part is the label title… IRECA59, property of.. And then it’s gone. Like someone ripped the rest of the label out. Which is crazy, cause then someone should be fired, right? The box was already being kept under a desk but a damaged label, that’s … mind boggling. Everything else seems to be in order though, the translation label sheet is filled out perfectly.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)

INEKE (cont'd)
So the logs should still all be translated to English and all units of measurement are in Earth standards, as is procedure, so there shouldn't be any hold ups in that area. However, everything else with this box makes me think it’s going to be…odd. Which is exactly what I wanted.
Ineke digs through the box, looking for the first audio recording. Paper shuffling noises and USBs clicking together can be heard. Ineke picks up a USB.
INEKE (cont'd)
Ah, hmm. The first log is titled, Dr. Naxx's sample tests.
The box, full of USBs, shifts, as Ineke lifts it up to place the cardboard box on the ground next to her desk.
INEKE (cont'd)

Here we go.
Ineke shifts in the desk chair getting more comfortable.
Click of computer/scifi noises, as the audio changes to the recording.
INT. IRECA59 ORLA’S LAB DEEP SPACE DAY
DR. ORLA NAXX (26), is reviewing a few dirt samples and taking audio notes on the difference between the different planets' soil.
ORLA
(MORE)
Dr. Orla Naxx. Log #01274, I am currently documenting the similarities and differences between test sample soils, A45, J97, and Y 34. The J97 sample is the latest to be collected, obtained during our last surface stop. I will be comparing it with A45 due to their similar textures. Which will hopefully lead to the discovery of another promising farming planet, specifically for wailing fruit trees, if the acidity in the soil is as similar as I believe it to be.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
3.
ORLA (cont'd)
I am comparing J97 with Y34, as the fauna and flora on both planets look similar and we all know how amazing the rootbased vegetables grown in Y 34 soil taste.
Sounds of water and clinking glass as Orla test the acidity.
ORLA (cont'd)
OOOOH, this is fascinating, the acidic levels are much higher in the J97 soil than the A45 sample meaning tha
The door to the labs slide open and LIEUTENANT NURAY KRII(28) walks in.
NURAY Hey, Dr. Naxx, how’s the dirt
looking?
Orla thrills in surprise.
ORLA
Lieutenant, you’re done with your patrol already?
Nuray walks further into the room and leans against the work counter.
NURAY
You know it…Speaking of, have you seen the Captain around? Cause I didn’t see him at all on my patrol.
Orla shuffles around, the glass containers clink together.
ORLA
He’s probably in his quarters.
NURAY
I figured that much, but I meant before. He couldn’t have been in his quarters all day?
Beat.
NURAY (cont'd)
(
Hisses
)
Of course he can.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
4.
ORLA
He’s likely just making a log or planning out our next task.
Orla shuffles around, the glass containers clink together, again.
NURAY
(
Sarcastically
)
Oh stars, I can’t wait to see what great task we’ll be given next.
Orla shrills/giggles, softly.
ORLA
You can’t be so hard on him about this.
NURAY
Sure I can.
ORLA
Lieutenant, you know that he is only following
NURAY
Following orders, yeah, we all are. But sometimes I just want to shake the Council, you know?
Beat.
ORLA
No, I don’t, but I understand your frustration towards them.
NURAY
Exactly. See, this is why I like talking to you about things, you always understand.
ORLA:
We are both working on the same vessel, under the same council. Of course I understand.
NURAY
Yeah, but the Captain is always
Over head speakers on the ship crackle and the CAPTAIN(38)is heard throughout the room.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
CAPTAIN (O.S.)
Dr. Naxx and Lieutenant Krii, please come to the bridge immediately.
Over head speakers on the ship crackle as they shut off.
NURAY
Any guess what that’s about?
ORLA
No. Do you think I have time to put my samples away or should we
NURAY
I don’t think this will take long, besides the Captain said immediately. Let’s just go now and you can keep looking at your dirt afterwards.
Nuray shifts and starts moving towards the door. Orla follows after him.
ORLA
But what if there's a solar flare or the coolant chambers shut off? That could damage the metric water levels of the soil! Or if we’re heading towards another asteroid field, something could fall and break.
NURAY
If we’re heading towards another asteroid field, we would have bigger issues than your dirt falling on the ground. The council will have our hides if the hull gets damaged. Again.
Footsteps leaving, space door opening.
INT. IRECA59 HALLWAY DEEP SPACE DAY
Door closes, footsteps on metal.
NURAY
I still can’t believe that they actually called us about that. It must have been a slow rotation for them.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
6.
ORLA
Well, let’s just hope that it's not an asteroid belt.
NURAY
Or that they're too busy to care if it is.
Space door opens.
INT. IRECA59 BRIDGE DEEP SPACE DAY
Space door closes behind Orla and Nuray as they walk in and stop in front of the Captain.
ORLA
Captain, please tell us that we are not heading towards another asteroid field?
CAPTAIN
We are not heading towards another asteroid field, Doctor.
ORLA
Oh, well that’s great to hear.
NURAY
Hey, Captain.
CAPTAIN
(Dejected)
Hello, Lieutenant. Now, the reason I called you both
ORLA
Uh Captain, before we begin, I just thought that I should inform you that I left some soil samples out, I didn’t have time to clean everything up and these meetings are usually short and
CAPTAIN
Dr. Naxx.
ORLA
It’s soil so it’s highly unlikely that it’s going to go bad or run away. Maybe just fall
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
CAPTAIN
Dr. Naxx.
ORLA
But if that does happen, it’s not that big of an issue
CAPTAIN
Dr. Naxx!
Orla squeaks in shock.
ORLA
Sorry Captain, I just thought… that… that you would like to be informed… is all.
The Captain sighs.
CAPTAIN
(Dejected)
It’s fine. The reason I called you both to the bridge is that the ship's radar has picked up a heavily damaged vessel, coming up ahead on our port side and it is unresponsive.
The keyboard clicks as Captain pulls the image up on the computer.
NURAY
But we haven't gotten a distress signal. I would’ve known.
CAPTAIN
Correct, we haven't. I even went and checked back a few days into our ship's archive in case it got missed somehow. However, what intrigues me is the lack of a registration tag on the exterior hull of the vessel.
Nuray walks closer to the Captain.
NURAY
You think it’s in an illegal vessel?
CAPTAIN
That would also explain the lack of a distress signal. They may have chosen death over punishment
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
8.
ORLA
The odd design of the ship is truly fascinating. Have you attempted hailing them, Captain?
CAPTAIN
Yes, I've tried several times. It’s either completely offline or their choosing not to accept or respond to my hailings.
NURAY
So, what do you think we should do about it?
CAPTAIN
I have already adjusted our speed and trajectory to move us next to the ship, from there Dr.Naxx will send out the tethers, to connect our ship to theirs. Then Lieutenant, you and myself, will board and investigate its contents. Dr. Naxx, I would like you to also monitor us as we investigate and be ready to detach the ship if things go wrong.
ORLA
Of course, Captain.
CAPTAIN
Good. We’re going to suit up and exit through Airlock 2. From there it should be a clear trajectory to the other vessel.
NURAY
Yes Captain.
CAPTAIN
Dr. Naxx, you may begin tethering our ship to theirs. As well as test the comms.
The door opens, the Captain and Nuray walk away.
ORLA
Yyes Captain.
Two sets of different footsteps leave down a metal hallway. Space door closing behind them.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
9.
ORLA (cont'd)
Okay..
Orla types on a computer and then flicks a switch to turn on the comms. Static plays for a moment.
ORLA (cont'd)
Come in Captain, Lieutenant, do you read me? Over.
INT. IRECA59 HALLWAY DEEP SPACE DAY
The Captain and Nuray are walking on metal floors that can be heard over the comms.
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
We read you, Dr. Naxx. Remember, keep our com lines open. If our signal starts getting spotty, let us know.
ORLA
Understood.
NURAY (V.O.)
Yeah and make sure that our ship's tethers are secure, cause if I’m stuck on a criminal vessel with the Captain, I don’t know if I’ll make it.
The Captain sighs.
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
Lieutenant, please take this seriously.
NURAY (V.O.)
I am. I think it’s integral to our success that our ship’s tethers keep us attached and that I am not faced with the possibility of dying, by slowly drifting into space with only you by my side, Captain.
Orla laughs quietly, the Captain sighs.
NURAY (V.O.) (cont'd)
As you both know, I was always destined to die in a glorious battle.
Orla and Captain respond in unison.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
ORLA
We know.
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
We know.
NURAY (V.O.)
Great! On that note, how are the tethers looking Dr. Naxx?
Clicks on the keyboard as Orla types. Suddenly the ship groans, the sound of small jets and then suction can be heard as tethers attach. Clicking of metal locking.
ORLA
The ships are tethered and holding strong.
NURAY (V.O.)
Excellent
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
Good, we will exit shortly. Lieutenant, please focus on getting ready.
The Captain and Nuray stop walking and open metal lockers and start suiting up. (zippers, etc).
NURAY (V.O.)
So, Captain, what have you been up to?
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
I’ve been going over our past mission reports.
NURAY (V.O.) And that’s been taking you the whole
cycle?
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
Yes, Lieutenant, it has. Why do you ask?
NURAY (V.O.) No reason. Just curious why I didn’t
see you throughout my whole patrol.
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
And you weren't trying to find me to use me as a distraction to delay your own work?
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
11.
NURAY (V.O.)
(fake gasp) Captain, I would never!
Orla laughs.
ORLA
Wait? Lieutenant, is that why you came to the lab?
NURAY (V.O.)
Dr. Naxx, aren’t you supposed to be doing…something else that isn’t listening to me?
ORLA
I’m currently checking comms.
Beat.
NURAY (V.O.)
Now hold on just a minute
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
Finish suiting up.
NURAY (V.O.)
Yes, Captain.
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
And Dr. Naxx, I believe that the comms have been checked enough.
ORLA
Yes, Captain.
Beat.
Suiting up noises stop.
NURAY (V.O.)
Ready to board, Captain.
CAPTAIN (V.O.)
Good. Dr. Naxx, we are stepping into the airlock now.
INT. IRECA59 AIRLOCK DEEP SPACE DAY
A thick door slides open and Captain and Nuray walk in. It closes behind them. The air pressure noise plays and lighter doors open a few moments later.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
12.
EXT. DEEP SPACE
TRANSITION FROM ORLA'S POV TO CAPTAIN'S.
Captain and Nuray float between the two ships. They are safely tethered.
CAPTAIN
Dr. Naxx, do you read us?
ORLA (V.O.)
I read you, Captain.
CAPTAIN Okay, we are moving towards the
vessel now.
Clicks of the attachment metal as the Captain and Nuray make their way towards the vessel.
Beat.
CAPTAIN (cont'd)
There doesn’t appear to be any airlocks for us to enter.
NURAY
I have a multitool that should do the trick. This thing's hull is already damaged enough.
CAPTAIN
Go ahead, Lieutenant.
Nuray starts cutting through the metal with a laser saw. Then it stops and the opening falls away.
A suction noise followed by a laser shield type sound.
CAPTAIN (cont'd)
A plasma seal has been placed over the hole, to sustain the potential life on the vessel. We are boarding it now.
ORLA (V.O.)
Copy.
INT. TABOO 5 MED BAY DEEP SPACE DAY
The Captain and Nuray float slowly into the powerless spaceship.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
13.
CAPTAIN
It appears that both the outside and inside of the vessel are heavily damaged.
NURAY
It must have hit every asteroid in the belt.
Nuray pats the wall of the ship and then cries out a large metal of the human ship breaks away.
CAPTAIN
Lieutenant, please refrain from doing that. Now, it appears that there is no artificial gravity or lights on in the vessel, whether this is due to the damage or just how it's built is unclear.
Beat.
CAPTAIN (cont'd)
The room we entered appears to be some form of med bay and there are two doorways.
NURAY I’ll head right, you go left,
Captain?
CAPTAIN
(hesitantly)
Affirmative. Turn on your com and report back what you see.
Nuray flicks on his comm and it echos.
NURAY:
(echoed)
Copy. See you on the other side.
Brief movement noises, like fabric brushing, as Nuray floats through a door way and away.
Captain moves to a partially opened door and sighs. He shoves it a bit till it opens. With a harsh grunt. The Captain enters the now open doorway.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
14.
INT. TABOO 5 BRIDGE DEEP SPACE DAY
The Captain slowly float around the dark bridge of the ship, looking closely at the control panel.
CAPTAIN
I appear to be in the bridge of the ship, where are you Lieutenant?
NURAY (V.O.)
I am in some sort of communal area, there are a bunch of doorways.
CAPTAIN Start with the door that is the
closest to my location, so we aren't as distanced.
NURAY (V.O.)
Roger. Heading to the door on the left.
Space door opens from over Nuray's comms.
CAPTAIN
Everything holding Dr.Naxx?
ORLA (V.O.)
Everything looks good on my end, Captain.
The Captain shifts through the vessel brushing past the metal.
CAPTAIN
This control panel is so odd. I’ve nev
NURAY (V.O.)
What did you find, Captain?
CAPTAIN
It seems to be some kind of decoration. It’s a small yellow creature, wearing a black helmet and..goggles.
A rubber duck squeaky noise.
ORLA (V.O.)
What was that?
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
15.
CAPTAIN
It was the decoration, I just pressed down on it.
NURAY (V.O.)
Are you sure it’s a decoration and not alive?
The Captain sighs.
CAPTAIN
Yes, Lieutenant, I’m sure it’s not alive.
NURAY (V.O.)
As long as you're sure.
Space door opens over the comms on Nuray's end.
NURAY (V.O.) (cont'd)
Oh Stars. Captain, I need you to come to my location immediately. I believe I have found the owners of this vessel, as well as why they haven’t been responding to your hails.
Brief movement noises, like fabric brushing, as Captain floats his way over to where Nuray is.
CAPTAIN
What is the situation?
NURAY (V.O.)
Well, there appears to be four individuals, in cryostasis chambers… or at least something similar. Captain, I've never seen anything like these cryo chambers before.
Last part echos through the comms, before a click is heard as Nuray turns his comm off.
INT. TABOO 5 CRYOSTASIS ROOM DEEP SPACE DAY
The Captain slowly drifts into the room stopping next to Nuray.
CAPTAIN
Hmm. The pods look damaged, we need to bring them aboard our own vessel quickly to check on their well being.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
16.
ORLA (V.O.)
Captain, sorry to interrupt but what are the species in the cryo chamber so I can prepare the med bay correctly in case of an emergency.
The Captain drifts closer to the cryostasis chambers, trying to see inside. He can't.
CAPTAIN
I can’t tell. There appears to be a film or fog on the inside of the pods. I suggest getting the basic generalized medical supplies ready, as we'll need to perform an emergency opening on the pods.
ORLA (V.O.)
Yes, Captain.
CAPTAIN
Let's move them before something breaks. Dr. Naxx, prepare four hover carts at the airlock once you are done with the med bay prep.
ORLA (V.O.)
Yes, Captain.
CAPTAIN
Lieutenant, each pod seems to be connected to a larger chamber embedded in the floor. So let's simply remove the pod from the base and float it out the way we came.
NURAY
Yes, Captain.
Nuray pulls out the laser saw again and it is heard cutting through the metal. The chambers float up slightly, the metal bumping things a bit as they detach.
ORLA (V.O.)
Captain, the med bay is prepped, getting the hovercarts now.
CAPTAIN
Good. Lieutenant, I’m going to remove this first one
Laser noises and tings as they detach.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
17.
NURAY
Two.
CAPTAIN
…First two pods and attach them to the carts. Will you be able to bring the other two?
NURAY
I can handle two floating pods, Captain.
CAPTAIN
I know Lieutenant, I just wanted to make sure
NURAY
Yeah, my leg I know. I’ll be fine. If it short circuits I’ll let you know.
CAPTAIN
…Okay.
Laser noises start up again, as Nuray gets back to work.
Beat.
The Captain attaches cables to the two detached pods and then Attaches them to his suit with carabiners.
ORLA (V.O.)
I’m at the airlock with the carts, Captain.
CAPTAIN
I'm heading to you now.
Brief movement noises, like fabric brushing, as well as metal bumping as the Captain floats two cryo pods behind him towards the exit.
INT. TABOO 5 MED BAY DEEP SPACE DAY
The Captain floats two cryo pods behind him towards the exit.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
18.
CAPTAIN
Crew, we are now working under the assumption that they are victims of an asteroid belt crash, and we will ask them why their ship is unregistered or if there is something else at play later. For now, their health and safety is our top priority.
The Captain floats through the plasma shield, it makes a fizzing sound as it goes over him and the pods.
EXT. DEEP SPACE
The Captain floats through space and into the air lock.
INT. IRECA59 AIRLOCK DEEP SPACE DAY
TRANSLATION FROM CAPTAIN'S POV TO ORLA'S.
Through the airlock door the doors can be heard shutting behind him. The air pressure noise plays and the pods slowly fall to the floor. A few moments later a thick door slides open and Orla walks in. The captain clicks off his comm.
ORLA
Hello, Captain. My… the Lieutenant wasn’t kidding, these cryos are odd. They look designed to fit a particular species, strange.
Hover carts lightly hum as Orla and Captain attache them to the cryo pods.
The Captain clicks on his comm.
CAPTAIN
Lieutenant, how are the other pods coming?
NURAY (V.O.)
I’m on my way back now, but one of the pods is starting to leak some fluid.
CAPTAIN
Understood.
Captain and Orla pull the hover carts with the pods on them out of the air lock and into the main hallway.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
19.
INT. IRECA59 HALLWAY DEEP SPACE DAY
Through the airlock door brief movement noises, like fabric brushing, metal and air pressurizing can be heard as Nuray goes through.
A moment later the door opens and Nuray steps out.
NURAY
Greetings. I have the rest of our ….guests.
CAPTAIN
Let's get them to the med bay.
Captain walks into the air lock and helps Nuray attach the remaining cryo pods to the hover carts, then pull them out into the hallway. The whole crew walk towards the med bay, pulling along the hover carts.
ORLA
Captain, how do you feel it best we go about waking them up? Each pod ranges in damage, so should we start with the most or the least. Or should we
CAPTAIN
We will start with the one that is the most damaged and looks near malfunctioning. Once the individual from that pod is awake and coherent they might be able to help us open the others, as it is most likely their own technology, and they will know the best way to operate it.
NURAY
You don’t feel like the other pod inhabitants are in immediate danger then?
CAPTAIN
Not at the moment, no. Compared to this one
The Captain taps lightly on glass.
CAPTAIN (cont'd)
I feel like we can safely open one before the others are in any sort of danger.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
20.
INT. IRECA59 MED BAY DEEP SPACE DAY
Door opens into the med bay and the crew steps in. Orla walks over to a computer and starts typing. Nuray and Captain stand up the pods off the hover carts.
Orla walks around and scans a pod and angry beep sounds from the scanner.
Beat.
ORLA
I Captain, I’ve scanned the pod but whatever technology was used to build it… I’m unable to connect with it or get a read in general.
NURAY
I told you the cryo chambers looked unfamiliar, and I’ve seen many cryo chambers in my time.
CAPTAIN
Do you have any readings on the state of the individual inside it?
ORLA
All I’m getting is a single slow pulse…... Captain.
NURAY
That also does not narrow down what species could be inside these pods.
CAPTAIN
But, at least we know there is someone in there and that they are still alive.
Beat.
NURAY
The issue is going to be waking them up. Most standard cryo pods have a switch or something, that will drain whatever liquid is being used...and also apply a shock if that's what the individual needs to bring their pulse up to their regular speed. But this isn't a standard cryo pod.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
ORLA
Yes, the Lieutenant is right. The waking process from cryo is very speciesdependent, and we are dangerously lacking in that knowledge. This leaves us with two options: we drain the rest of the already leaking liquid and leave the individual to slowly regain consciousness and hope that their pulse rate will naturally increase. Or as the liquid is draining we immediately administer a shock to the body at a low rate that grows steadily until they awaken. The risk is that normally the liquid is drained quickly and the shock is administered immediately so we won’t be able to look and see the species as that would already be too late for them.
CAPTAIN
What is the percentage of single pulse species that require a shock from cryo to those who don’t?
ORLA
Captain, …..it’s nearly half, even when factoring the cryo pods dimensions and what species would fit within.
NURAY
It’s a risk, but I think that we should let them wake naturally, we can always attempt to shock them after the fact.
ORLA
But if the shock is not immediately administered, the chances of a shock based species awakening from cryo is 2 percent, near guaranteeing their death.
NURAY
Dr. Naxx, you are too focused on the numerical percentages. Our guest will need to be awakened soon. We need to make a decision!
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
ORLA
Well, I think you are rushing it. This could end someone's life!
CAPTAIN
ENOUGH! We are a crew under the IREC, we will act like it!
NURAY
We are barely a crew. We are the IREC's weakest links, that they threw as far into the void as they could, to forget about.
Beat.
CAPTAIN
Lieutenant, how the Council feels about us is not our priority right now. We have four individuals in need of our help. So quit fighting. Am I understood?
ORLA
Yes, Captain.
NURAY
Yes, Captain.
CAPTAIN
Good. Now after listening to both of you, I believe we should let them wake up naturally as the Lieutenant suggested.
ORLA
But Captain….
CAPTAIN
I understand the risk of this action, Dr. Naxx, and I will take full responsibility if our guest does not wake.
Beat.
ORLA
Yes, Captain.
CAPTAIN
Alright, I suggest we open the hatch on a slight angle so the liquid will drain out as we open it.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
23.
CAPTAIN (cont'd)
Be prepared to catch them in case the inner straps are damaged.
The crew tilt the upright damaged pod on an angle. The glass and metal creak. Orla stands at the side ready to open the hatch, Nuray is in front of the pod hatch and the captain is holding up the pod.
ORLA
Ready to open, Captain.
CAPTAIN
Good. Ready, Lieutenant?
NURAY
Ready, Captain.
CAPTAIN
Okay.
The Captain shifts a bit getting stable.
CAPTAIN (cont'd)
(whispered)
I pray death doesn’t get a new story today.
CAPTAIN (cont'd)
All right on 3. 1…..2…3.
Orla pulls on the latch and the hatch swings open with a hiss. Water drains out with a slight splash.
GREYSON HILL(30) takes shallow breaths.
Orla and Nuray quickly move back from the pod.
ORLA
Oh my stars, OH MY STARS!
NURAY
Captain?
CAPTAIN
Stay calm and stay back.
NURAY
Captain that’s that
CAPTAIN
A human. I know.
(Printed with the demonstration version of Fade In)
24.
ORLA
What do weI oh stars.
Nuray pull out his gun and charges it up.
NURAY
We need to kill it!
CAPTAIN
No.
NURAY
No? What do you mean no? It’s a human, it will kill us! We have to kill it first.
CAPTAIN
No! This is a direct order: do not shoot!
NURAY
Captain, with all due respect I would rather not tell death my story today, let me kill it.
Greyson sighs, waking slowly.
ORLA
Uh, Captain
CAPTAIN
Lieutenant, shooting the human will not help this situation.
Greyson starts breathing faster and shifting.
ORLA
Captain.
NURAY
we can’t give it a chance to
Greyson falls to the ground with a splat and groans.
ORLA
Captain!
NURAY
Stand back!
The Captain rest the pod down and walks slowly towards the crew, between them and Greyson.
